CALL FOR PAPERS

The International Symposium on Advances in Technology Education (ISATE) event started in 2007 as an international academic exchange between ten engineering colleges belonging to the National Institute of Technology (KOSEN) in the Kyushu and Okinawa districts of Japan and three polytechnics in Singapore. It aimed to enhance the quality of Engineering Education in each participating institution. In 2010, all the other KOSEN institutions of Japan joined the symposium under the National Institute of Technology (NIT) initiative. In 2011, two more polytechnics from Singapore joined this international exchange effort as organizers. In 2013, Nagaoka University of Technology and Toyohashi University of Technology also joined the symposium. Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) of Vocational Training Council (VTC) officially joined to become one of the ISATE organizers in 2017.

Submission Criteria & Categories

The Organizing Committee of ISATE 2026 invites submissions of high-quality papers that align with the conference theme. All submissions must emphasize educational aspects and contributions. Submissions focusing exclusively on the performance of scientific or engineering products or technologies without educational context should consider seeking alternative venues. We look forward to receiving your contributions that advance educational innovation and collaboration.

Requirements: To be eligible for presentation at ISATE 2026, authors must adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Submit Abstract
Submit Abstracts for Full/Short papers in the specified format by the stated deadline.
2. Submit Papers
For Full Papers: Authors are requested to submit full papers with a minimum of 4 pages of content, including charts and references. The total length must not exceed 6 pages. If a Full Paper submission is rejected during the review process, author will have an opportunity to resubmit as short paper. To present at the conference, either a Full or Short Paper must be submitted.

For Short Papers: Authors are encouraged to provide content of maximum 2 pages, including figures, tables, and references. Short Papers are not subject to peer review. Submission for Short Papers follows the same deadlines and formats requirements as Full Papers, beginning with Abstract submission. During the Abstract submission process, authors must indicate the intended submission type.

3. Submit Copyright Approval
Corresponding authors must submit the designated copyright approval certificate.

Presentation Formats

Full Papers:
-Oral Presentation (15 minutes including Q&A)
-Poster Presentation (including a 1-minute poster teaser)A poster teaser is a brief oral presentation designed to highlight the core idea of the poster and attract the audience’s interest. Each presenter is given 1 minute to introduce the research topic, its motivation, and key contributions. Detailed explanations and discussions should be reserved for the poster session itself.
